Spring training is in full swing, and it is time to start placing some future bets on the World Series champion and the AL and NL pennant winners. The Dodgers and Yankees are huge favorites, but there are some other teams that might be worth a look.

We will cover the odds for each team as well as some of our favorite picks.

World Series Odds 2020

FanDuel has the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees as the favorites to win the World Series at +390. The teams listed as the least likely to win the World Series are the Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami Marlins, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles and Colorado Rockies all at +10000.

The odds at DraftKings are very similar, but they are higher on the Dodgers at +375, while the Yankees will get you a better return than at FanDuel at +400. If you decide to bet a long shot, you are better off at FanDuel as the bottom teams have a max of +7500 compared to the +10000 at FanDuel.

Personally, we think the Dodgers are the play if you are deciding between the two favorites. The injuries to Luis Severino and James Paxton have us a little concerned about the Yankees pitching.

If you are looking for a bigger payout, we like the Cincinnati Reds (+3000 at FanDuel and +2800 on DraftKings) and the Los Angeles Angels (+3500 FanDuel and +4000 on DraftKings). The Reds have really improved and have a good balance of pitching and hitting.

Our biggest concern with Cincinnati is it plays in the NL Central, which is really even among the first four teams. The Reds, Cubs, Cardinals, and Brewers could all win the division, making it a little tougher to get into the playoffs.

The Angels should be able to hit with anyone. Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout will be one of the best two-hitter combos in all of baseball. If Los Angeles is still around the hunt at the deadline and can add some pitching, this team has a real shot.

We are avoiding the Astros as we think the distraction of the sign-stealing drama will be too much for them to put together a big season.

MLB Futures: Odds To Win American League 2020

FanDuel has the Yankees as the favorite to win the AL pennant at +175. The Astros (+320) are the next closest with the Minnesota Twins (+800) and Tampa Bay Rays (+975) coming up next.

The Orioles, Royals, Tigers, and Mariners are all +10000 to win the pennant, just the same as they are the World Series. If you are going to take a shot at one of them, it makes more sense to bet the pennant than the World Series as you are getting the same odds.

DraftKings sees it fairly similar to FanDuel, but it likes the Yankees a little less as it has them at +200 to win the AL pennant. If you like the Yankees, you are better off placing futures at DraftKings.

Houston +250 doesn’t offer much value if you feel like taking the Astros. The Twins are exactly the same at +800. Do not bet the big underdogs at DraftKings as it is only paying +3500 compared to the +10000 at FanDuel.

Hopefully, this list can help you determine a good place to bet your future bet. Make sure you are line shopping, as you can definitely see that both places have different odds for almost every team.

MLB Futures: Odds to Win National League 2020

FanDuel has the Dodgers as overwhelming favorites to win the NL pennant in 2020 at +175. The next closest teams are the Atlanta Braves at +650 and the Washington Nationals +850. The Giants, Pirates, and Marlins are all the biggest underdogs at +10000.

DraftKings really likes the Dodgers at +170. It is also a little higher on the Braves +550 and the Nationals +700. If you do like the Reds, as we do, you are better off betting them to win the NL pennant at DraftKings, as they are +1800 compared to +1600 at FanDuel.
